ISTOBAL will present Smartwash, its intelligent car wash facilities, for the first time at Motortec Automechanika Madrid. This launch represents a new generation of high-tech wash spaces aimed at improving the user experience and increasing business profitability.
The Spanish group has chosen the 15th Leading International Automotive Industry Fair in Spain, held from 13 to 16 March in IFEMA, to launch its bid for hyper-connectivity and Big Data. In this way, the company aims to encourage the digital transformation of the wash sector, by launching innovative solutions that benefit managers and users alike.
The new generation of ISTOBAL car wash facilities featuring Smartwash are 100% connected. Based on IoT and Big Data, they increase the efficiency and profitability of businesses, while at the same time offering a wash experience that is faster and more comfortable, as well as easier to use and more intuitive for the user.
Thanks to Smartwash, ISTOBAL is tackling new challenges in the market where digitalisation is proving essential to increasing growth in the wash business sector. Likewise, ISTOBAL is also responding to new market trends with intuitive, personalised solutions, adapted to new consumer habits and user needs.
ISTOBAL HW’INTRAWASH, deep cleaning for truck interiors
During the event, the Spanish group will also launch ISTOBAL HW’INTRAWASH in Spain, the first piece of automated, standardised equipment in Europe for the interior washing and controlled disinfection of refrigerated trailers and maritime shipping containers.
Patented internationally, easy to use and install, ISTOBAL HW’INTRAWASH applies bacterial treatments and high-pressure wash to ensure disinfection of the truck interior is thorough, controlled and efficient. In this way, the concentration, quantity and chemical product reaction time requirements are met for each and every transport fleet.
Compared to manual cleaning methods, this new solution for washing truck interiors is much safer, as well as more efficient. It also reduces the average cleaning time by 60% and permits greater control over the quantity of chemicals used.
This innovative piece of equipment has been developed by the American branch of the company. It consists of a guide system on a platform base that is inserted in the vehicle, moving through the interior to undertake the high-pressure wash process using high-impact nozzles. Controlled by a geared motor with frequency converter, ISTOBAL HW’INTRAWASH is able to wash even the furthest corners of vehicles that are up to 16 metres long.
Experts at ISTOBAL point out that manual vehicle disinfection depends on how thoroughly the chemical disinfectant is applied. The average time to clean a trailer is 15 to 20 minutes. In contrast, thanks to the ISTOBAL HW’INTRAWASH, an effective cleaning program is possible in just 5 minutes.
Furthermore, ISTOBAL HW’INTRAWASH has a chute for collecting cleaning residues and a self-cleaning archway that helps to protect equipment from any external agents.
ISTOBAL has already begun to market this equipment in the United States, while it will be available on the European market in the latter half of 2019. Thanks to this new technology, the Spanish firm has positioned itself as a point of reference when it comes to wash solutions, not just for exteriors, but also for interiors of industrial vehicles. Among other large automated wash system manufacturers, it is now the first company to offer an automatic, industrial and professional solution for washing and disinfecting industrial vehicles in Europe.
Other wash solutions that ISTOBAL is set to present during Motortec Automechanika are the ISTOBAL M’NEX32 rollover with new options, the ISTOBAL n’joyavant jet wash, the ISTOBAL esens® range of chemical products, a new vacuum cleaner and the pioneering Xtract Mixing System for automatic chemical product supply, as well as the innovative chemical Xtract Dosing System.
This launch represents a new generation of high-tech wash spaces aimed at improving the user experience and increasing business profitability.
